dry washers

Fine you a book of plans by Sam Radding ( I think that's how you spell his name ) it will show
you every thing you need to know. I'm not sure his is powered by a blower but if not you will
be able to adapt it to make it take one I'm sure. Myself I would not use a blower; I would use
a electric motor (12V) with a pulley and bellows; MUCH cleaner to work and works just as well
or better. Remember to screen your material down to start with and to check and see if it is dry
enough to run. You do this by taking a handfull and squeeze it into a ball ; if it stays in a ball when
you open your hand it is to damp to run through any dry washer, homemade or not. LOL!

thank you both very much, we have a bellows type that we bought in quartzite az. in 2006. just wanted to try the other kind to see the difference in them.knew it was cheaper to build one than to buy it.

If you have difficulty finding a blower, try a RV supply. They have several types for the exhaust fans over the stoves. Got one a ways back from a place called Fredsons RV in Santa Ana Ca. Don't know if they're still around. Then all you gotta do is round up a sleeve some washers, nuts, and a bolt. Good luck on your project! Tinkerin is the fun part!

Oh yeah, if you can find the Sam Radding Book of Plans, Vol. 2 has a nice set of plans for a "Vibrostatic" The plans are very easy to follow and it can be built without a full on machine shop!
