Out in a farm field today hoping to get some silver coins dug a high silver quarter signal and out pops this. After cleaning and acid testing its a silver knee buckle. Maybe some one can help date this for me thanks in advance sorry the pic doesnt show the true color of it

Silver buckles are hard to find. I know guys with hundreds of buckles and not a single silver one. :icon_thumleft:
 

Nice ...any makers mark? - most silver ones were marked by the smith - though they could have worn off
never found one on land - only one I got was from salt water - from R.I. - very crusted but complete
