Nice Federal/Militia Artillery Corps Flat Button circa 1830's to 1840's. Awesome find. CD can you make out any writing on the back and can you tell whether it has a seam bisecting the back of the button?
 

don't see a seam or writing back is a little corroded though.

Can't tell which company made the button then which would help zero in on 1830's or 1840's, def pre-Civil War find, though. Nice.
