I've yet to find a v nick. Found a shield years ago, I put it in the cellophane wrapper that was on the pack of cigarettes in my shirt pocket. Went to show it to my hunting buddy, and it was gone. Of course you can only guess the crap he put me through from then on!Found and lost on the same day DAMN! Congrats on the nice find

Actually It was the other way around, found then lost!Sucks big time as every time I see him,he keeps bringing it up!That had to be in the late '80s when that happened.I guess when I bent over to dig,it slid out. Haven't dug one since!Anyways,once again, congrats on a killer find.Thanks! Yeah, it was pretty cool to pull from the hole and have the sunlight catch the V!
