Dug this up along the Delaware River in Pa. a couple years ago. About 4 inches deep. Any help will be appreciated

It could be BSA related as they used to be there on

Treasure Island Scout Reservation in middle of Delaware River all summer for many decades.​

You needed a boat to get there. No idea. Looks like a play on
the Silver Star medal (military) which is actually a gold 5 pointed star. Just a guess.
 

Says Sterling, but, looks plated. Interesting find.

I've found all sorts of fake jewelry.....all stamped with various purities. Like my tag line says, "jus cuz it's wrote down, don't make it so"
