Dug through all my trash.

Finally got around to sorting and recycling a years worth of trash and came up with this.
It appears to be 1/2 of some type of buckle. The usual buckle guides were no help.
Anyone have ideas?

I dug half of a "sash" (or dress) buckle recently and I think that might be what you have there. The end with the bar (next to the nickel) would have been attached to the sash or belt. The other end is the hook part of the clasp. Thats my guess....

That's what I guessed. I hope someone can give me an idea about it's age.
