Did a quick dash and dig at the farm property at lunch today. Too flippin hot to stay out too long. After wasting about 10 minutes digging up a plow head, and sweating like a dog, I headed for some shade in the back yard. This little piece would be my only find today. Located it in the same area that I've dug some 1940's wheats and some 1940's aluminum clothes line clips. Therefore, I'm assuming it is from the 40's? ;)
It's a "BULL DURHAM" watch FOB (Found Old Bull). It says "Warranted 14K Gold Plated" on the back. There is still a bit of the gold plating on it. Here are a few I found on the internet. Not worth a lot of $, but still a neat find I think:

Thanks for looking. Send me some snow. ;D

That is so cool. It would have made my day! Funny a couple months ago it was too cold to get out, now it's too hot :D. We need to have a talk with Mrs. Nature ;).

Bully Bully for you and a big Congrats.

It's a miracle you even went out and hunted in this heat! :D

Not to mention it hasn't rained for a long time! These are extremely bad conditions for detecting.

Seeing that find makes me smile!

Congratulations!

Cool find MM!!!
Don't you win a free steak when you find one of those?

Keep safe...

Too cool MM. Love the "out of the ordinary" finds

I think there's a little BULL to this story. I just got a DFX in the last month. It's been almost 30 years since I've had a metal detector. I HAD to go out an get one after looking at all the photo posts of the many things you all are finding. I really enjoy this website as well as the information and folk's sharing their hunts with each other. If it wasn't to dog gone hot I'd get out and hunt around here more. Any thanks to all for sharing the nice finds in here and to the webmaster for a A++++ cyber site! So far as I go I've found some odd things and some clad and mostly newer coins. I did manage to find a 1951 quarter on my first trip outside the yard here. Also I find most of the photography of the various found items to be very nicely detailed. ......Now where'd I put those old maps at?? Good luck to all on your hunts!

Thanks for sharing!

JRich in Jacksonville FL. ...... And, don't believe the rich part of the name LOL.
(might have to change it to JPoor and be more realistic) :D :D

Dave,
My daughter is always trying to beat me on who has the darkest suntan. She just spent a week at the beach, but I still got her beat. Hunting in this heat gives you a great tan, even if it is a "farmer tan". I guess that fits though, since I'm hunting at a farm. ;D

Thanks Gypsy & Green.
I love the unusual finds too. That toy cannon I found about 4 months ago is still one of my favorite finds.

Thanks all!

i love those bull durham fobs for some reason! thats a great find !!

A real nice find. I like how it looks its age. What I mean is that the style of the bull and the writing on it reminds me of a lot of 1940s advertising I've seen in old magazines etc.

A great find MM---Those old tokens are way cool, Congrats

Awesome, and that's no bull. Love those unique finds!! Congrats and thank you for sharing!
