Im curious as to where and how those who do several boxes of halves a week dump them. Ordering and getting them isn't a problem for me. Dumping is. TD bank penny arcade machines bags fill at 100.00. So, if I'd get 2 boxes , which is $1000.00 the teller there has got to change the bag 10 times. Another banking system in my area has coin counters, however there is 100.00 per day limit to account holders, over the 100.00 and everyone else there is a 10 % fee. So........how is it done?

Yep ya either find other banks with machines wither higher limits and biger capacity bags or dump em in rolls

just keep stacking, just keep stacking, stacking stacking stacking

Just gotta test the waters in your area. In my area, I can just bring the bagged coin into banks and get the immediate cash back. A good relationship will help and take you far.

If you ask the banks extra nice they will call the Fed and Ben Bernake himself will come to your home and pick up bags of halves giving you instant cash on the spot.

No one is going to give the name of their best dump bank. When I started hunting I was dumping in the TD counters and it quickly became a hassle. It makes the tellers hate you there, it takes a ton of time, and other than the coin reject finds there is no real advantage to dumping there. Your best bet is to find a bank with bag exchange or find a bank with better counters/more capacity. You could reroll and dump that is another option, too, but most hunters try to avoid that if they can. The way I found my best dump banks was by going on road trips to search for teller tray silver at a large variety of different banks. Every bank that I asked for halves at I would also look to see if they had counters and also if the tellers were nice I would strike up a conversation to find out the information I was looking for.

:coffee2: I'm assuming from your name that you are somewhere in Pennsylvania. In my area there are a lot of Capital One Banks that have coin counting machines. They hold more half dollars than the TD bank (I think they hold $1000). How ever you have to have a account with them or they will charge you a fee. Personally I have a lot of TD bank branches in my area that are close to each other so I just go to different branches. I only dump $100 at a time & I have made a lot of good finds in the reject chute doing it that way. I only do 4 boxes a week & do them 1 box at a time. I only dump $500 a day. Hope this helps.
