I'm currently hunting with the omega 8000 thinking about getting the E-trac and was wanting to know if you guys think its worth the jump

Yes I have used the 8000 and I have an E-trac now and In my opinion is it would be worth the upgrade. The trac is a great machine

The omega is an awesome mid level detector but it burns you out quick, You swing an e trac an your omega will be up for sale in seconds. I have mine up for sale or trade as we speak!
