How does a E-trac preform in trashy areas?

Depends on the site and the person. All a small coil does for me is covers less ground, gets less depth, and singals on less good targets. I've probably had 6 or 7 small Minelab coils over the years and have sold them all. I believe most people that really like small coils are the ones who need a really clean sounding signal to consider it a good signal. In other words they don't know the detector as well, and are not as good at working out targets in tough areas so they need the detector to make it easier, because they do not get better.
