I found this lock last week. And I know there are a few on here that are into locks so I thought I would show it.

It has the words Eagle Lock Company on it and the patent date of 1896 across the front of the spade. The other picture is a trade 5 cent token and a toy gun and a ring that was exciting till I got it cleaned up.

HH,

Dave

The ring seems to be flaking the gold off so I don't think it is anything good. 18KT mark on the inside with more letters but can't read them.

The ring is smaller than can fit on any of my fingers too.

WTG but isn't that a gold ring? I love the lock and would love to find a toy derringer like the one you found. That must be from the 50-60's and looks to be in decent condition. :icon_thumleft:

cool finds wtg :icon_thumleft:

just finding the post.

the derringer looks a lot like the swing out of belt buckle rig that came with the mattell six shooter or fanner.

does it have a slot in the back strap of the handle?

Nice digs Dave. gold or not..the ring is cool too. :icon_thumleft:

Amazingly good condition.
Kansas soil is not kind to metal so most of my older finds are badly deteriated.

I have an eagle lock but not as old as yours
