Early morning hunts

Met up with DFXWillie this morning and hunted a couple of places. got $2.29 in clad, a 1893 Liberty Nickle, and a couple of first for me, a Crotal Bell and a old Colonial Buckle....

Jgas, the V nickle was a 19 VDI on my Spectrum, the two tags are: a rabies dog tag from Quincy, Mass..and the other tag has a phone number on it with the word "Reward"...the Crotal bell was between 5-6" deep and was a solid 88 VDI...thought for sure i had a Large Cent !!! oh well, i'll take the bell, always wanted to find one. still has the pellet inside too.

Thanks for the info on the VDI. Great finds again. I too have found several of the crotals with the pellets still dinging away.. Congrats again...jgas
