Hi guys and gals, I went out for a few hours this morning. I purchased a xp deus 2 last week and wanted to get some time behind it.

I his 2 places that have been hunted to death, ended up with a king george 3 brittish copper, several nice buttons and this item.

The site where found this is an oldie, we weren't the first to hunt it though. But we did manage to find coins dating from 1730-1822. We found shoe buckle, knee buckles, and many time period items. Even a war of 1812 eagle button. It was along the main travel route and one of the sites was rumored to be a toll house and there is a documented colonial fort about 300 yds away. This iron ball measures just shy of 2 inches. 1.95, and weighs right at a pound. I would love for this to be a cannon ball, I believe the dimensions and weight are right where they need to be, and the site would be the right time period. What do you guys think?
