Very nice!! I don't believe I have ever seen a red one like that. Very pretty!

You know the difference between a gofer and groundhog never stopped to think about it? lol Thanks for Thanks Stryker. Have a good one.

Bruce

gophers are our friends. 1 brought up 1/2 a folsom for a friend of mine!

I was telling Bruce, in reply to his post, that I have found a box full of beads by digging through the coarse gravel gathered by the red ants (Pogonomyrmex rugosus ) in Arizona. If you live someplace that has these ground digging ants then it will probably work for you too.

You really have to watch those ants though. Their sting is like a cigarette burn. These red ants are very large, a little more than 1/4 inch in length. What you do is find a place where you think the ancients use to live. Find an ant bed down hill of there but still close--dig through the residue pile from the ant's excavations and you should be able to find beads.

I'll post pictures of my beads when I find em again. I put them up so they would not get lost :) :)
