I have found good prices on everything and where to get a lot of stuff for free but packing tape is eating me alive. I used to get to the Dollar General but they don't seem to carry it anymore so where do you guys buy your tape how much do you pay for it? I've been getting the three pack at Home Depot for 10 bucks. But there's got to be something better out there! I used to buy to BJ's too but I didn't like spending $40 on tape! Thanks

I buy from a place called papermart.com
they are close enough for me to order willcall and p/u at lunch.

here is what I order most

#304 2" X 55Yd 2Mil Clr Pp Carton Sealing Tape-Pkg 332011P 6 rolls for $5.34 (staples price about $3.50 ea)

#411 1" X 60Yd Utility Filament Tape - Pkg 304011P 3 rolls for $9.18 (staples price about $5.50 ea)

I just actually looked on eBay I didn't even think about buying tape off here so Carlton seems to be the name everybody selling on here anyways so I guess it sticks!

I buy all of the packing materials required for First class packages on ebay.
Priority tape can be found at a local USPS for free.

Are post office will give it out anymore. I used to get rolls all the time I don't see it at the post office anymore. Not to mention it's usually cheaper to ship FedEx anymore than priority mail outside of the regular boxes. I order all my boxes off Uline.com. Usually 800 to 1000 at a time. But have not found a place for tape.

In a pinch, Wal-Mart has tape at reasonable "brick and mortar" retail prices. As others have pointed out, there are overall cheaper alternatives.

That is my favorite, all purpose around the house tape. That might be why no local post office around here carries it any more. just went to usps supplies page and no luck. If you can get that tape still I would say grab a few rolls. when they are out, they are out.

did find this on usps.com, any body ever see sealed boxes at yardsales. might be good for a laugh to sneak one on a box and see what happens. (yes, I do have a twisted mind)

at my wallmart I know exactly where that is supposed to be. they are ALWAYS out, so in a pinch I go to staples.

but right now I have 7 rolls of tape from papermart. I go through strapping tape real fast.

That is a good deal on tape. I get the same rolls from costco when they are doing deals and pay twice as much. Looks like next time I need tape I will put in an order with them.

I try to buy most from eBay as the prices are pretty good... but I've bought tape at WalMart for a low price before. Worked just fine
