Effigy stone pipe i know nothing about.

I have a old pipe and I don't know nothing about it. If anyone could help with info about what it is And what the face is. what year or tribe it came from and would it be worth anything would be much appreciated. Thank you. 20180627_183105.webp20180627_183048.webp20180627_183132.webp20180627_183001.webp

I wonder what kind of rock that is? It almost looks like metal. The drilling looks right for an Indian pipe bowl. Gary

A few more pics would be helpful for sure.

Better pictures from several different angles sides would really help please. I have no clue what I am looking at in those photos.

is that a sheep? that would be an unusual effigy for a pipe.

I don't think it's a sheep because it has fangs. I don't recognize it as any species I can think of with ears like like, the odd snout, and fangs that stick outside the mouth. As for the Pipe, this is what I see. Looking at the Stem Hole it looks to have been drilled with a small drill to get the hole clear through to the Bowl and then it was widened by subsequent drilling. The look of the steps at the bottom of each drill depth is almost completely flat and that would not happen with a flint Drill. It's possible it was Reed drilled though. It just doesn't fit the norm of Pipe types I have seen.

To be 100% honest my gut says its probably a modern fantasy piece made in the last 100 years.

M first thought was that it was a dog.

I leaned toward dog as well, and I also leaned toward modern....
