MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) - A Cumberland County school is banning costumes in the classroom this Halloween.
Sporting Hill Elementary in Hampden Township sent a note home late last week, saying they made the decision because "safety is a top priority" for students.
The school has also canceled the parade portion of their fall festival for the same reason.
Students told abc27 they are disappointed they won't be dressing up this year.

Muslims tried to ban Halloween last fall at my youngest daughters school but I personally made a stink about it and found out it was just 2 people. Then a bunch of us parents banned together and had it quickly over ruled.
Since we have a lot of muslims coming into our town, my oldest daughters middle school last year during fun fair weren't allowed to bbq sausages for the first time since the school opened in 1979. :angry4:

Wait till they ban those doggy treats that are Pig ears.

Banning Halloween in elementary schools is no fun! It is an occasion for kids to have fun. I strongly feel they should be taking off the ban.
