Just a quick question, my friend has an Elvis Presley book- circa 1971, first edition signed by Elvis at a Florida Airport in '71 or '72. "To my good friend Jackie Dyer, Elvis Presley" The book is not in perfect condition, but it's not horrible either. What do you guys think this would be worth? I know the autograph is authentic for sure.

I would think it would have to be authenticated by an expert first, before you could get what it's really worth, even though it may be the real deal. That's gonna run you from $50-$150.Unless your friend has a photo of him signing the book to go with it.As autographs go,he signed many during his day, there are also many fakes and the market reflects on this. Also,I wouldn't advise selling it on Ebay, sell it at a specialized auction. All this being said I would think it would be worth from $300-$500 to a collector, which my wife happens to be. :)

Yeah, I think you're right. I spent, no wasted, a few hours researching the subject to learn the same thing as what you wrote. Thanks for the input. I will have to tell my friend this info and see what she says. Would your wife be interested in it?

:o Shhhh! Don't tell her! She has enough Elvis junk as it is! Besides,i'd end up paying for it! :) Take care Cannonman.I enjoy your posts in Indian artifacts and such.H.H.

undocumented autographs are tough to authenticate, especially in this day and age.
