Empire State Building medallion........

Not sure exactly what I have here? Could be from a necklace, maybe from a key ring, or maybe even a medallion of sorts
My biggest question is Does anyone know the significance of the Bull on the other side. It has a battle axe, and some type of ships wheel behind it? Any help would be great. Thanks.

It is a minotaur (1/2 man, 1/2 bull). This one is apparently a character in some sort of fantasy story "The Lightning Thief" by Rick Riordan, published in 2005. and from what I saw this character continues in the other adventures of Percy Jackson (the main character). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lightning_Thief
