EmptyPockets' first MDing expedicition out in the back...

I've had my metal detector for a week or so and have finally had an opportunity to try it out.
This was my first serious metal detecting outing ever. Went out with my brother a few times but just mainly watched him cuss the pull tabs. :laughing7:

MDer: Garrett AT Gold
Pointer: The one you get when you buy stuff from Kellyco. Looked chincy but worked fine.
Location: On the strip of grass out behind my apartment complex.

Notice the rare fence staples. Hard to find in the America's. :laughing7:
An extremely rare pull tab. Someday all us Treasure hunters will find every one of them in the good old USofA.
The pennies were a surprise as I expected all bottle caps.

The most interesting was the .357 caliber bullet. ???
I found it about 2 inches below the grass. The nearest range is about 5-6 miles away.

As always, you would never know I was back there. Minimal to no divots, yes there is a golf course back there as well. :icon_thumright:

Got to say, I had a good time listening to the beeps and trying to balance the ground.

Too Cool finds, Keep digging and ya will hit some quarters and sometimes pure silver is a great find. Ya never know what you'll find. last month I gave my son a dollar for video games at a roundtable pizza, my son came back with a Indian Head Nickle in mint condition. I gave him another dollar for it and he was happy! (I guess some kid got into their parents coin collection and the nickle ended up in the coin catch cup because it wasn't a quarter. You figure.
Keep up having fun. last year I found a mini solid brass military sabre where a house had burned down and the land was abandoned in the mountains. Good Luck to you.

There ya go today the back yard tomorrow gold nuggets. It looks like you are not missing anything and learning your equipment. It is such fun and the odds are with you the more you dig. You got coins on your first trip. I would say you are well on your way. Now research and find that golden spot :hello:
