Yup, today will be my last day probably. This is what I'm up against.

Ouch...that's toasty. Time to brew up a big jug of sweet tea, crank up the A/C
and find a good movie to watch. :icon_thumright:

Once the temp hits 82 and above being in the sun is just too much. Starting next week the temps shoot up into the upper 90s and will not be able to detect again until the fall most likely.

I may get a day in here and there for the next couple weeks during rain but other than that it's pack er up time.
What neck of the woods are you from lol.

Now for Phase 2... selling all the hundreds and hundreds of fossils we have found, along with all the lead I have recast into new sinkers. In just 4 months I have pulled over 50 lbs of lead out of that lake.

Where I detect there is very little tree cover. 85 in the direct sun is very hot. I call the sun "The Tormentor" because it just sits up there relentlessly cooking you. Because of ants I am forced to wear long pants so there is no escape from the heat.

Just detect early morning or evening when the sun is low or setting.

In the summer the temp barely gets below 85 at night. I can get away with some early detecting for a while if I can drag myself out of bed at 6am but I am not really a morning person lol
