This past March one of my team mates on our bi-annual England hunt found this amazing piece of history. Right now this piece is with the museum going through the formal treasure process. Rory from Canada was the finder and he was on cloud nine for the rest of the hunt. Details of the find:
Saxon gold coin pendant - reported as treasure to museum
1.35g, 15mm dia
Dutch 700 AD coin
(Madelinus type from Dorestad in the Netherlands, which has been found in England in relatively large numbers.)
