I had a great weekend & saved some awesome history! I went out solo Friday to an 1840 plantation house & judging from the finds I’ve made there was something there in the late 1700s. My best find was a mid 19th century militia cross belt plate with the initials IF engraved on the face (I suspect the owners initials). I also found a holed Matron Head large cent and a good number of early buttons & relics. Saturday I got up with my buddies Lanny & RT. We searched a few places we have hunted before & managed to find a 1903 Indian Head & some other relicsI searched a couple of places Sunday afternoon but didn’t find much. One site had around 15 fox holes from World War 2 but I only found one bullet. It was still very interesting to see. plate.webpplate_back.webpmatron.webpstuffs.webpzouave.webpdandys.webpbuttons.webpsite2.webpbuckles.webp

Great finds! And the presentation! Nicely done. Lighting, contrast, focus, color, graphics...all perfect! IMO.

I agree w/Kray - so nice to read what the item is - us left coasters don't see much of that

Nice finds! Congratulations!

Excellent finds

This is a most excellent post. Great finds and display with I.d. That buckle has some researchable history. Well done.
