I had a great weekend & saved some awesome history! I went out solo Friday to an 1840 plantation house & judging from the finds I’ve made there was something there in the late 1700s. My best find was a mid 19th century militia cross belt plate with the initials IF engraved on the face (I suspect the owners initials). I also found a holed Matron Head large cent and a good number of early buttons & relics. Saturday I got up with my buddies Lanny & RT. We searched a few places we have hunted before & managed to find a 1903 Indian Head & some other relicsI searched a couple of places Sunday afternoon but didn’t find much. One site had around 15 fox holes from World War 2 but I only found one bullet. It was still very interesting to see.
