Found this pin 8 months ago at a home that was built in 1840.For the last four months been looking for it around home here.Looking through my STUFF,lo and behold!After taking some pics I didn't realize the intricate detail of the Engraving.Anyone out there give me a heads up on this???? 005.webp007.webp005.webp

that is a beauty! congrats and glad you refound it too!
 

if that pin looking thing was in it.I would guess it to be a tooth pick and holder.

Looks to be in the Victorian style and probably dates to the 1870's.
