Equinox 600 vs pounded cellar holes

I went back to some if my old haunts to see if the Nox could see anything in the iron. These sites have been pounded by myself and some friends over the past couple of years, so I wasnt expecting much. To my surprise, I left with a handful of keepers!! The coppers are an 1842 US largie and an 1812 Thomas Halliday token. Too bad that the silver thimble was smashed, but still happy to have it.

The second button from the left would be 1700s. It's a tombac. The other 3 have backmarks, so probably 1820ish. The homesite was abandoned in the 1840s.

I dont think theres any hope of straightning out the thimble, however, I believe I dug it out of a colonial trash pit. There was OLD black glass, pottery and bones in there as well. Might be worth sifting a big area there.

Theres no shortage of oxen shoes at those sites! Between the 3 homesites, I've probably dug at least 20 of them.
