Seriously, after 70 or so hours it finally finds what I was waiting for in a fresh water lake.

All is 18k, the chain weights 9gram and gives a very stable "1" signal on the screen.

Settings: park 2, rec 3, FE 3.. it picks it up only a few inches deep though. The chain was near a large piece of iron so there are some rust stains on it but its still 18k 20190617_055729.webp

750 is the standard here. Anything below it is very rare.

Anyway, the nox is a nice addition to excalibur, Im glad that I own both of them

It is a very nice result! Congrats!

The chain was alone or with medal?
I hunt in freshwater usually, but the main problem, the NOX give 1-2 signals from ground in any mode, except beach 1-2.

The chain was alone near a piece of iron (the stain marks are from that iron). The pendant is from another chain and came with its chain's lock but I couldnt find the chain itself :/

And I dont understand what you mean about nox. I dont ever use beach modes in fresh water. In fact my nox doesnt even react to this chain in beach 2 which I think is highly disturbing

Try using Field 2 in testing detection depth on the chain. I find it more sensitive to small gold than any other mode other than Gold 1 and 2. I agree, Beach 1 and 2 are a bit disappointing with tiny gold targets.

Nice. You know what they say, it's gotta be there to begin with.

Congrats on the nice finds! :occasion14:
