Couldn't pass up a shot of these beauties. Wildflower book states these can be hung upside down to dry and maintain their bright colors for months. Funny, what looks like a thistle, is actually a member of the Parsley Family. Go figure.

There are fields of these around here, it's something to see. I tried drying them one year, but they lost the color quickly. I just love how they look.

Ooooooooooo..... very pretty, and they come in my favorite color. I wonder if they could grow in Michigan.........NGE

That stuff is so pretty! We picked some of that about a month ago--you sure enough have to wear leather gloves to handle it because of all the thorns! And I even had a thorn poke through the glove! But it made a beautiful arrangement with some liatris and cardinal flowers.
