ESCORTED TO THE 1800's CLUB BY A BIG GIRL

So I got a permission in Punta Gorda, a House built in 1910, and it doesn't get much older than that here in SW Florida. I found a few obligatory wheats, a merc, and looky here now!

First foray into the 1800's,:headbang: but she is such a smoothie, no clue on the date. Looks to me that it was in circulation for 50 years or so before it was lost....Might be the only seated I ever find here in SW FL.
Same hunt, a bit later I make a surface find, craziest thing ever. a 1916-D Mercury!!! Problem is..it is the size of a Morgan!~ :icon_scratch: It does say COPY on the reverse, but of all the gimmick coins out there, haven't found any like this matching it on the net...and it is heavy too, could it be silver?

What did the Ace 350 ring up on the big dime? Was it in the silver range?

Surface find, I saw it before I beeped it, in doing so a SOLID bing-bing, all way to right side on target screen, accurately told me W/in 2 inches, and not for nothing, pinpointed perfectly

you can narrow it down to a date range... the older seated dimes have stars on the obverse (1837 to 1859 I believe), while newer ones (1860-1891) have United States of America on the obverse.

She is smooth but she is still a lady. Very nice find.

it certainly looks silver, but if it is you would think it would be marked as such.

Run a specific gravity test or a tissue test on it. Tell ya if it's silver.

If you look at the wreath on the reverse you should be able to make out enough of a difference to know which you have. Check ebay for some images.

The only seated lady I ever seem to find is my wife at home! :)
