ESCORTED TO THE 1800's CLUB BY A BIG GIRL
So I got a permission in Punta Gorda, a House built in 1910, and it doesn't get much older than that here in SW Florida. I found a few obligatory wheats, a merc, and looky here now!
First foray into the 1800's, but she is such a smoothie, no clue on the date. Looks to me that it was in circulation for 50 years or so before it was lost....Might be the only seated I ever find here in SW FL.
Same hunt, a bit later I make a surface find, craziest thing ever. a 1916-D Mercury!!! Problem is..it is the size of a Morgan!~ It does say COPY on the reverse, but of all the gimmick coins out there, haven't found any like this matching it on the net...and it is heavy too, could it be silver?
Here are the two dimes, side by side
Thanks for looking and HHP.S. ALL FINDS W/ THE ACE 350
