??? Hello everyone! I am fairly new to metal detecting and wanted to get some opinions or past experiences on what would be a better unit to nugget detect, the xterra 70 or the eureka gold? I'm not looking for coins, or at least not very much. I'm more intrested in performance of features for gold.
Thank You

Eureka gold without a question. this is the best VLF on the market. But if you can swing the cash you should by a PI style detector. I would try the minelab SD2200v2 under 1800.00 and the Eureka gold under 1000.00. Talk to Rob at ( www.nuggethunting.com ) or Chris at
( www.arizonaoutback.com ). These two guys have the best service and prices on SD, GP and the Eureka gold.

The only problems with the Eureka gold and the xterra 70 is that they are very very limited on coil selections and if you are nugget hunting you will want other coils. I use a Joey 10x5 mono for small stuff then a 14" and 18" mono for bigger stuff deeper.

You want to hunt for gold use a gold detector. ......... A all around detector is not as good as a gold detector for gold no matter what they say.....You can get a brand new Minelab SD2100v2 for $1198.00 and the Eureka gold new for $998.00.........You want gold stick with a gold detector
