Howdy everyone, I have a chance at a discounted Teknetics Alpha in like new condition, (used as a demo unit) I was looking into a Discovery 3300 and have had some friends tell me I should look into the Teknetics Euro Tech Pro,,,are there huge differences in these machines? The purchase of any unit now will be as a back up unit or one for a friend when hunting, I plan to look into a higher end unit after the first of the year.

I have been looking hard at the 3300 just because of the ground balance feature, and me living in extreme Northern Utah.
I would go with the save the money for the higher end unit, but have access to private property along the old Railroad line that I may not have access to next year.

I was also looking into the 3300. I found that its recovery time is really slow and many people have commented on problems with adding a DD coil. I have decided to purchase a Bounty Hunter Platinum instead. It is like the 3300 but better. It has ground balance and the recovery time is fast and has better depth.
