I have a 1974 Kennedy which has no copper in the sandwich. It has a more pronounced edge, deeper strike into the metal, is thinner (inside the edge), and has a distinctly different sound when struck. Kind of sounds half way between a clad and a 40%. I remember my mother had a couple set aside as oddities when I was a kid. Ever seen one before and are they rare?
This is legal currency, doesn't appear to be altered, and is highly unlikely it is a magicians coin.
