I am sick!! :-\ Yesterday I got about 45 minutes in and about 5 into the hunt I dug a beautiful coin from 1758! I was thrilled . I left and headed home but on the way I thought I might as well stop by the bakery and get some fresh bread . I stopped and took a good look at the coin. It was a really nice one in good shape that had a lion over a shield. Well I sat the coin down (I thought ) in the console and headed in . I jumped back in the car and when I got home I grabbed all my finds and headed into the house .I emptied my pockets out and no old coin. ??? I retraced my steps and no luck. I went back to the store with a flash light but no luck. I am gonna look in my car again tomarrow during lunch but I have been through it pretty well. I guess you win some ,you LOSE some. I have learned a good lession but it was a painfull one. Maybe It will turn up but I think it fell out of the car at the bakery . O well there is always tomarrow.

Oh no Birdman, I hope its in your car. Id be sick. :o Good luck hope you find it.

Been there! More than once.

Leaves you with an empty feeling in your stomach.

Check carefully under the car seats, especially between the consol and the seat channel.

Good luck.

OUCH !!

I always keep a quanity of 2X3 inch plastic ziplock bags to put my "Keeper" finds in individually. I learned this valuble lesson after putting an Indian Head penny I had just dug up in my shirt pocket & then must have lost it by bending over to dig up another signal sometime later. I was pretty damn P.O'd & swore it would never happen again.

I have a feeling you will find your coin in the vehicle after much hunting. ( Not like you can use a pinpointer in the car ;) )

Good luck !!

I hope you didn't spend it at the bakery. Actually, you chould check with them...maybe they have it!

That sucks. I hope you find your coin. Take the time to search your car out really well. Could've dropped into any venting/holes/crevices in there. I personally carry an empty little glass jar (baby food) to throw my finds in.

Hope you find it back. Last weekend I found silver 6 kreuzer coin dated 1814 (from my last post) and at home could not find it for hours thinking I lost it in the field-, but then I saw it fallen down from my bag behind sofa.

If you were the clerk would you tell anyone? I would just sub a quarter, dime, nickel, penny in the drawer for what it was supposed to be

I am sure that such a nice coin is somewhere inside your car,
do not give up looking for it.

Though I can tell you that I lost some keys inside my car about 4 months ago and they are still missing.

I once found an nice gold earring, I put the thingy in my pocket.
And I never found it.

So, these things happen.

rat crap.......................
