I Got a letter back from Kay Bailey Hutchinson saying although she appreciates my interest in contacting her regarding metal detecting she believes my efforts would be better served by contacting our local reps. Or some BS like that! What is it exactly that our state senate does again Because I know like the rest of the politicians its not listen to what the people want.

Hey! Let's not get bent out of shape. Senator Hutchisen is right, pending legislation in the Texas legislature is in need of our immediate attn. See my previous post and contact the committee members who seem to be sitting on HB 1016. But be nice!

What everyone needs to do is contact the representatives reguarding the house bill and send pictures of all the live ammo, razor blades, sharp metal, and all the other trash they find in these tot lots and parks with an explaination of how we are really keeping the parks safe for the kids that play there. Remember, a picture says a thousand words. I will be taking pics tomorrow and I will post them here along with sending them to the representatives. If we all do this they might get a different picture of the good we are actually doing, instead of the harm they think we do.
