excal 1000 vs excal 2

I have heard the 1000 was the same machine internally with flashy paint, But the excal 2 that I saw seemed deeper than my 1000

I recently bought a Excal II for some reason since my Excal 1000 is still going strong and deep. As far as I know the guts are the same as are the coils. Just the colors of the thing. You might have a knob that slipped on the sens and invest in a NIMH rechargeable battery for many hours between charges.
