excal problem

was in the water sat,everything great,scoping up some change and then the excal starts making a continuous buzz.disconnected the battery,same thing.tried running some coins under the coil,no change in the tone,turned it on the next day,same thing.........anybody?thanks

First thought is always the battery. Next.... sounds like its how a detector sounds when a coil isnt connected. I assumed you checked to ensure you didnt hit a knob and that you shook the coil cable. Im hoping you have a back up machine.

When battery starts to fail it will act just like you described. Check your battery after a full recharge, see what your volts and amps are, battery may be failing..
