Hi all,

I usually post on todays finds but thought this one belonged here. I found this one very early in the year, ground still froze a bit. It sounded off just like a large copper so I am guessing copper alloy for the material. This was near a 1700's farm house. Any ideas what it could be?? I have had no luck with research on this one.

Hi Ed

I'm not real sure of your location or where you found the tag, but there is a town in California, in the central valley, about 50 miles south of Fresno and 60 miles north of Bakersfield named Exeter. Really doubt that the tag hales from this town but stranger things have happened.
