How many members still use the SE Pro model or older FBS machines? I ran across a good deal on one and will have to try it out. I have had the Etrac and CTX but sold both over a year ago. Also read Andy S. book so I am somewhat familiar with the differences between the Etrac and Explorer.

I know many "salty" minelabbers prefer the explorer to the Etrac. What say you who have used various models of the Explorer Etrac series?

I use the Explorer SE Pro & for the most part, I'm happy with it.
I say for he most part because I never tried the Etrac & actually when I got it, I had no other option.
it appears it was easier to learn then the earlier XS & XS ll, as I sold them before learning them.
But at that Time I had a working Sovereign. When I got the SE My sovereign was buggy , so as I said.
No choice but to learn what I was able to get.

It was too perfect to pass on at the price. I think Tom_in_CA still uses the SE for dry sand firepit beach detecting. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1447941880.424967.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1447941892.542333.webp

The SE is still supported by Minelab, parts are still available for repairs...

Well I remember what I disliked most about the Exp/Etrac vs the CTX. Not having Combined audio. So running in conductive with zero disc is impossible because iron is a high tone. Ferrous is the only way to go if you want to run low disc.
