I am looking for folks to share my interest in searching for things long lost and yet to be found. I have lived in Columbia County for the past ten years and haven't run across anyone detecting in the field in that time. Since most clubs that I am aware of seem to be in the PDX area or farther south, I generally solo.
My interests include rockhounding, fossil hunting, gold seeking, and general detecting. I have a Garrett AT Pro. I am slower than I used to be but I have the time and interest in research - maps, literature, and sites like this one - and am looking to "partner up" with someone interested in detecting locally. There's a lot of ground to cover in this county and a few local treasure legends to spice things up a bit.
I hope to post more to this forum when I return from Eastern Oregon later this month. Mean time, may everyone find what they are looking for!
