Hey Guys and Gals,

My name is Zack, but you can call me either Zack or CONFEDR8. I am starting to get into metal detecting and my buddy, who does this a lot, it going to take me out in a couple of weeks to try it out. But he did give me something that I am very interested in. As stated in the title, it is a fragment of an explosive shell/ball. I have tracked it down to either a 32 or 42 pound explosive shell/ball. How can I break the tie?

If you want pictures, I don't have any and will take some tomorrow.

I will get some pictures on here within a half hour. So I will be back.

Ok, here is a couple of pictures of the fragment. I do have measurements on one photo but they might not be exact, they might be off by .1 or .2 inches. I can get a couple other pictures if you guys want. HE Shell.webpHE Shell 2.webp

So, does anyone know what shell this fragment belongs to?

Tho I can not 'nail it Down'
