I guess if I had to buy my own those would be it but there is a box of Energizer industrial at work sooooo....

LUCKY :-)

My advice is to use the brand name batteries...
I had several cheap brands leak on me and they damaged my detector. :sadsmiley:

Keep @ it and HH !!

I went with a couple of AccuPower 9 Volt 300 mAh Rechargeable NiMH batteries and a charger this summer with no complaints so far. I hate buying batteries.

I to only use Duracell or my rechargeable batteries from radio shack.

I have to agree on the rechargeables. Yes, they cost more initially, but save in the long run. Many people save their clad and buy new ones at the end of the season. Thanks BHG for the tip.

I use the DG brand as well. I'm cheap! They work good for me & are a lot cheaper than the name brand stuff. No issues so far (my machine takes the AAs) although I get the 9v for my pro pointer.

I think the DG brand do OK. Used them many times in my G2. I had some extra's in my back pack this summer and left in in the truck. Got em out to do a change and noticed both had the discoloration at the seams and were just starting to leak. I also had a couple of Duracell Industrials ( G2 and VibraProbe both used 9v) and they were fine. I know that leaving them in a hot truck is a No No, but kind of convinced me they are cheaper for a reason. I hunt pretty often so they aren't going to stay in the machine for extended periods, and what I did was my fault, but I would advise being guarded with them if stored for long periods etc. I changed detectors and went with the T2 and it has incredible battery life on 4 AA's so I just stick with the Duracell all the way around now. I also get to cheat occasionally on the Duracell Industrials as a friend who owns a business that uses them gives me a box now and again. Amazing the goodies a little gun work will get ya.:icon_thumleft:

I've been using the same 2 sets of rechargeable c-cell batteries for 5 years. They've saved lots of money and seem to last longer when recharged before getting drained too low. Spend 40 bucks on the gear and you'll be set for ages. AAA and AA batteries and chargers are much cheaper if you use them.

Good thread. I was just thinking about going with rechargeable batteries yesterday. Specifically 9v for my Garrett pro pointer. Those babies are high dollar! Anyone else have suggestions on good rechargeable systems they have used and liked? I am glad I don't have to recharge a detector battery like I did with the Whites XLT a few years ago. The charge didn't last very long at all on those.
