Superstitions gold

Here are a few examples of gold we found in the Superstitions.



That is tiny spots of gold in black quartz, the only black quartz I ever saw in the Superstitions with any gold in it, and unfortunately it could be the lost mine of Apache Jack. I say unfortunately because this was clearly a small pocket that someone had found and cleaned out LONG before I ever got there. But they didn't get every speck either.



This rather unexciting specimen came from the eastern side of the Superstitions, not the presence of silver minerals. And yes this is a tiny piece



This oddball one was from another shallow "prospect" type of hole someone left in the Superstitions



As you can see none of these are good enough to get excited about so I will include that matchbox for a reminder that the good stuff must still be there!
