Was over in my weed infested field looking for arrow heads and artifacts this afternoon. Been trying to get CRP grass planted for 2 months but it keeps raining every time it's dry and I have a day off . Was about done finding flakes and small pottery chunks when I see that shiny roundness in the dirt . Yup , a 42 merc, then while I'm standing there taking a few pics I see another coin about 8 feet away . Ended up being a 34 Lincoln after a bit of cleaning . Pretty good day . Time to get the detector out. Looks like a promising site for more coins. :headbang:

Might hit it with the dfx on Sunday if it doesn't rain again .
Tomorrow it's off to my wife's company picnic at a park in town . Might get there a bit early ......

people bust their butts digging and lucky you find em just sitting there!:notworthy:

very cool, congrats!

Good eyes. Makes a person wonder what he's walked right by on the surface. Awesome!

Nice! Congrats!

I must be doing it wrong, I'm trying to find silver with a detector!
