f-5 or delta

I had my eye on the Teknetics Delta 4000with DD coil for $379
Then when I add all the extras it came to over $550
I found the Fisher F5 with DD coil For $549 with extras added free. No pointer

Is f5 a good newbie detector not to complicated. Or stick with interest in Delta

I have been detecting for a year now. The Fisher F-5 has not failed me. It has been accurate, especially with coins. It is easy to learn and is a great intro machine. I have no regrets.

The F5 has a "slight" learning curve, but should be OK if you read the manual and Mike Hillis F5 tips and tricks booklet. The hardest is understanding the gain and threshold controls that are not usually found on most detectors. The F5 leaves the Delta in the dust, IMO. So much more command of the ground.

Remember the Gamma 6000' same performance hardware as the Omega easier to use. The F5 is a really nice machine but it requires some reading like others stated.
