I have been hunting a local park that I am sure has been hit REALLY REALLY hard in the past, but it still produces some mid 1800's coins, not many but a few.
Well at least it did with my XLT,with the fisher I get alot of tab/foil signals.
how much do we trust the icons?
i found the XLT was easier to read but the F75 offers alot more once you learn it.
I WANT TO LEARN IT(at least a little)!!!!!Before my next relic trip to Virginia.
any tips.
Picked up a clad quarter as a foil reading.
Frustrated but looking forward to it.
Cheers from Canada!

The Fisher F-75 bounces around audibly and visually even if you have the metal disc'd out.
It is like you are getting the whole picture of what is down below even if you dont want to hear it.
It is not like the old analog machines---a totally difft. ballgame.
I think there may be some great advantages to this however if you are savvy enough to do a little experimentation and have some patience.

You should not be getting clad in that reading however. Check your coil connection at the base of the control housing.

Cheers!
