Sea Research Society, which was founded in 1972 and does expeditions in search of shipwrecks (and has found its share of artifacts, cannons and sunken treasure), now has a Facebook group at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=49363793603.
The group is open to anyone and has lots of great photos, links, etc. So, please join.
I hope you will also join my group on the discovery of the intact Confederate submarine Hunley. Go to http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=49462872435. The tiny sub has since been raised and her crew removed and buried. I donated my rights to it to the State at their official requests.
I am president of Sea Research Society, so, while you are at it, please add me as a "Friend" on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/people/Lee-Spence/1109236999). You can also look me up on Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee_Spence).
My company (Shipwrecks Expeditions LP) recently purchased the Smithsonian's former research vessel Urraca. She is 96' long and sleeps 16. She has a fiberglass hull with an aluminum superstructure. We will be using her primarily as a search vessel and mother ship.
Thanks,
Lee
