Cool find from The Cheyenne today. Pretty good size. I also found a crinoid stem fossil, I was on the hunt for ammonites, but no luck. Still a good day. I was pretty excited when I found it! Only a corner was exposed when I found it, when I popped it out of the sand- I was like, "NO WAY!" So fun when you have a long overdue find!

Amazing agate!
Lately, I've been considering walking the river near Red Shirt, SD. I've spent too many hours in the grasslands without finding anything. I figure that after the snow melts, there will be a brief window of access to exposed rocks to search for prior to spring bringing in everyone.
