Finally got permission to hunt a fairgrounds site that has been around for 70 yrs. :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: As a matter of fact the fair just left this weekend. Lot of area to cover. Say 30 acres or so. Only have had just a few short hunts in the past three days. Totals--- Tues. (20 min) $.61, Wed. (40 min.) $1.40, and this morn. (1hr 20 min.) $3.25. Everything has been clad so far. Only draw back is there is a whole lot of trash! Been a lot of beer drinking out there over the past years. None of it is mine of course! ;D Sorry no pics for now.

Spoke with the older gentleman that owns the land the fairgrounds is on earlier. He said he has found a genuine Rolex, and rings before on the property! Told me I could hunt anytime I wanted as long as there wasn't an event going on at the time.

OH cool..that sounds like an awesome place..Ive recently been hunting some swimming pool areas, and i can tell you..the first 5 or so hunts..i dug a ton of clad...but once its out of the way, then you can get thru to the good targets...i actually went thru there and only dug the quarter/dime signals..then went back for the gold...and boy did it pay off...hit that place hard

Oh I plan on it. He said it had only been hunted very sparsely. Just 2 min from work so its perfect. Lots of reports of diamond rings lost during bbq competitions that are held there.
