Went on vacation and found a few goodies. The best of the finds are: 2 silver dimes, 1 of them a roosie,and 1 of them a burnt out merc. I also found a 1898 indian. Then I found a naval pin of my grandfathers. He served as a naval pilot instructor during world war two. The pin is sterling silver. What a great feeling to unearth a piece of family history.

Awesome finds. :thumbsup: Your Garndfather's pin is a very special find. The merc looks like it may have been in the old burn barrel for a while.
 

That Goetz token might have been your grandfather's too -- that's an early telephone token. I found one on vacation a couple years ago too. There's info about them on the Internet if you Google them.

Agree I didn't either until I found mine. Haven't seen one posted here since I found mine. Great piece of history there as well.
