Family Lake Michigan Vacation

My family is planning a vacation around Michigan City this summer. I am wanting to know where are you allowed to metal detect on beaches and in water in that area. I will travel a few miles from there. Any info would be great. HH

It appears that the water hunters that I know of are in hibernation

The 2 that I know who hunt those areas are Vibes and RC2125

Hopefully they'll see your post after their long winter nap and offer some input for you.

It's been awhile since I hunted the Michigan City waters. BUT from what I can recall...no problems hunting the public beaches!
